A long steady climb from the Wildlife Sanctuary, which is exactly 9.1 miles to the top end of the trail where it joins up with Maple Springs Trail and the Main Divide
The trail begins close to the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary (29322 Modjeska Canyon Rd, Silverado, CA 92676). You can park here (if there is space), or you can also park in the small gravel lot just beyond the Wildlife Sanctuary.
